Alright ladies I need your opinion- I am working on a "year in the life of" scrapbook for our family. I am trying to decide if it would look better if all the papers and elements were coordinated or if I should use a lot of different colors/styles. If I go with coordinating I'll probably end up making a lot of it from scratch, where if I do different things I can use odd's and end's that I've picked up from other designers---- What do you think would look better? Decisions Decisions Decisions...... Now what you all came here for....

How about using a color theme for each season? If you felt ambitious enough you could even shade the colors at the beginning and end of the season so they transitioned gently to the next.
You could also use an embellishment theme, like photorealistic flowers for spring, acrylics for winter, or grunge for autumn.
That would allow you to both use designer bits on hand *and* make others to fit.
I too would suggest a color theme for each "theme" you use. By theme I mean Event, School, Spring, Summer, Easter, Christmas etc. I like the suggestion of blending the colors as you transition to the next theme. Some items could be consistent to each page - such as a date - perhaps the sue of similar frames.
Whatever you do I hope you will share with us your ideas!
Thank you so much for the run and skip papers. I have some free chipboard letters in run and jump colours on my blog. kimmyskeepsakes.blogspot.com
I am going to do them in skip colours next.

Thanks for the great papers. My albums tend to be very eclectic.
thanks for the papers. I use the same theme, colors etc for that days group of pictures, then something different for the next day and so on. I think it keeps things interesting. I see you have already gotten some really great ideas.
Thanks for this! It looks great!
Thank you for all the free paper. Being a newbee it sure is helpful. I like to have cordination in my scrapbooks, but I try to keep it interesting. As in "Birth of Baby" will be in one color or theme papers, "School" will be different. Hope this helps
people use themes for an entire book? LOL Mine is totally eclectic, I just go with what works for the pictures. Sometimes I do 2-pagers, but as I haven't really printed anything but brag books...I'm "not the gal" to ask. :)
thanks for the Skip papers!! :)
I did two anual books for my girls so far and didn´t use any coordinated kit - every page looks different.
One advandtage of this is that I was able to chose backgrounds, embellishments and stuff that matched the atmosphere in the photo instead of matching the rest of the pages.
Still I more and more start thinking about making one album now that is completely one style - you would need a really large kit, but well, Pamela and all the people creating add ons provide us with it :-)
I think it would look very proffesional and maybe not so cluttered. Only I´m afraid that I myself might get bored working all the time with only one kit ;-)
Thanks for creating these for all three of Run, Skip and Jump.
Thanks so very much for the papers for Pamela's ABC kit. They are all super.
