Distressed Frames; Extended Family

As promised here is the second part of the Distressed Family Frames. As I was looking at my preview I thought of a few family names I had missed (Granddaughter, Grandson, Grandparents) If you have other family name suggestions for part 3 be sure to leave them here!

Technical Difficulties (operater induced)

I am such a dork! In my excitement to upload my kit to Faith Sisters last night I forgot to re-size it and jammed up my upload files- The lovely ladies over at Faith Sisters are trying to get me all straightened out so hopefully my Birthday Bash kit will be in the gallery soon!!!! Thanks again for all your support- Hopefully once I get this worked out I will be back with another set of distressed frames for you.

P.S. I think that you have to be registered in the faith sisters gallery to vote- but it's quick and easy to do and a great group too!

Faith Sisters Birthday Bash: FREEBIES!!!!

Wow- am I ever ready for summer to be over! It seems like every week there is something going on that I barely have a second to catch my breath from one activity then its on to the next. . . . I have lots of fun things in the work for you all my lovely digi scrapin' friends including more distressed frames, a back to school kit, and kits for Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother, Baby.... All to go with our Forever Family year long kit.

Distressed Frames: Set 1 Family

Ok so maybe you think it's weird but I like to use the same stuff in my scrapbook over and over again. I think that it gives it a nice flow- because of this I love elements that are easy to recolor and change to fit the particular layout. For the Forever Family mega kit you will see several sets of elements that are made to be easily (well relatively easily) recolored- Just look for the post label Ready to RECOLOR.

I've included a text document with basic recoloring tips in the zip file. If you want even better instructions check out Hummies World (Course 1 Lesson 6G). Changing to Black or White is really simple for white simply slide your brightness and contrast all the way too the left- to turn it black slide your brightness and contrast levels all the way to the right. (The frames in this set are a medium brown to start off with). Also included in this file is the basic frame shape as a .png file to help you crop your pictures to fit inside the frame.

I plan on doing several more frame sets just like this (Holidays, Descriptive Words, Events, Etc.) So please leave me words that you would like to have frames for (no proper names right now please)

I haven't forgot you!!!!

Alright ladies this is taking much more time than I expected but I promise that I haven't forgot you all. In the mean time here is a tag I received from Shelsscraps. She does custom backgrounds, headers, layouts etc- Very cute!! You should go check her stuff out.

Name 7 Random things about yourself:

1. My associates degree was in International Studies with an emphasis in the Middle East (I totally use that one everyday as a SAHM out here in rural America)

2. We just celebrated our 8 year anniversary!! XOXOXOXO

3. A few tears ago coming home from a camping trip we saw Dick Cheney Fly Fishing the river- in my excitement to take a picture as 'proof' I dropped and ruined the camera.

4. I am a garage sale addict - We go almost every weekend were home and in the winter I feel like I'm going through withdrawals.

5. My # 1 Favorite candy is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

6. I am 15 years older than my youngest brother who is 15 years older than my little guy.

7. I Loooove reading and have probably easily read over a thousand books in my life.

I confess! I have not been spending much time this week on digital scrapbooking- I have once again been distracted by the Bloggy Giveaway- It is pretty much ended now-- I know I should have told you all sooner but there were so many fun giveaways that I didn't want any more competition for the prizes!
