Pioneer Day

Yes I know... Pioneer Day was yesterday- I had this mostly ready but my husband had just gotten home from a work trip so I spent some time with him and my little guy instead.


I am excited to get started on our Forever Family mega kit. I really had planned on the first kit being "Families are Forever" but I had so many suggestions for Pioneer day that I decided to start with it. The patterns are fairly simple- mostly like what I envision the dress fabric of pioneer's to have been like.

I wanted to add more word art to the kit but I was having a brain freeze at the time and all I could come up with was Westward Ho!- which somehow seamed more funny than appropriate- If you all would like to leave me your Word Art ideas for Pioneers I will try and do an add-on to this.

My Forever Family- A new year long mega kit!

Announcing (deep breath)........ My Forever Family, my new year long mega kit- A while back I was trying to decide how to put together a yearbook for our family- I was really torn between customizing the pages for the pictures/occasion and trying to get the whole book to somewhat coordinate. A lot of you had so many great ideas- one that I absolutely loved was a kit that coordinated but had a wide variety of colors/shades to fit each holiday and season. I plan on covering the basic holidays and seasons as well as continuing with the LDS themed kits but I want to know what you think-

with this mega kit or stay separate?

What specific themes do you want to see in this kit?

It will probably be another week or two before you see the first part- while I finish pulling things together for this- In the meantime I look forward to your input and will leave you with the color palette I have selected for this kit- hopefully it will inspire you to come up with some fun suggestions!

What a great weekend! We visited with family, went to the parade and fireworks and had a big party for great grandma's 90th birthday! I hope you all had a lovely fourth.

Bee Good, Part 2 of 3

It is so hot! I got so used to spring dragging on around here that the last few days of summer are really getting to me. June seemed to go by so fast I can't believe that the Fourth of July is this week! Things will be busy around here so I'm not sure if I will have Part Three until after the holidays or not but I'll get it to you all as soon as possible. Bee Good, Part 1 of 3

Hello Ladies- Yes, I know its been awhile since our last freebie- I had so much fun with the ladybug kit that I couldn't help but do another "bug kit". This kit is also inspired by the six be's of President Gordon B. Hinckley- To me, the phrase be good encompasses all six so that's just what I decided to call this kit- "Bee Good"
